This year I’m taking on a big challenge—the 2026 Geerz Israel Mountain Biking Ride. I’m not riding just for the adventure and the trail. This ride is personal for me. I’m committing to raise funds for a cause I care deeply about: Geerz - and helping the kids and soldiers they support.
I connect to this mission because I know how healing and empowering mountain biking can be. On the trail, the gains aren’t just physical. You learn control and focus, release stress, push past limits, build community, and discover that you can conquer challenges that felt impossible.
Geerz has taken the unique benefits of mountain biking, combined them with a therapeutic life skills curriculum and community, and turned it into a mental health intervention that changes lives in some of the hardest to reach populations.
Many of Geerz’s participants would never ask for help. These are kids and soldiers who “don’t need help” or fall through the cracks. Geerz plays a critical role in meeting these often overlooked or hard to reach individuals where they are. I’m riding for them.
In the past 13 years, Geerz has grown from a single group in Beit Shemesh into a comprehensive resilience program that now reaches 500+ at-risk youth weekly in communities and youth villages throughout Israel. Since October 7, Geerz adapted programs to support evacuees, kids and families in the Otef, and now, soldiers coping with trauma and reintegrating into civilian life after months of grueling reserve duty.
Every gift—big or small—helps kids who've been through so much and soldiers who’ve given so much, and it also encourages me to keep pedaling harder knowing you’re cheering me on.
