Geerz works with children at risk to provide therapeutic riding to recover from trauma, and challenging childhoods. Please support my ride so these children can be taught resilience, life skills, feel part of a healthy group and experience the outdoors. This is the second year I am doing the ride in Memory of my sister Jane Kenyon, Jane Chaya bat Avrahaml, who was an avid biker her whole adult life, training every day, biking all over the world. Jane loved biking. She passed away after 5 years of disability and struggles this past September, almost 5 years to the day after her biking accident. It was right around the time I was getting into mountain biking, so perhaps some of her spirit has transferred to me, and I will carry on her legacy (even though she was a road biker). This is the second year I am doing the ride in Memory of my sister Jane Kenyon, Jane Chaya bat Avrahaml, who was an avid biker her whole adult life, training every day, biking all over the world. Jane loved biking. She passed away after 5 years of disability and struggles this past September, almost 5 years to the day after her biking accident. It was right around the time I was getting into mountain biking, so perhaps some of her spirit has transferred to me, and I will carry on her legacy (even though she was a road biker). She also volunteered with children teaching financial literacy in schools in the inner city of NY to disadvantaged kids, so I think this cause -combining biking with helping kids would have been close to her heart. She was meant to visit Israel 5 years ago, but unfortunately because of her accident she never made it here.
