Please join me to help support Geerz’s therapeutic mountain biking programs in Israel for disadvantaged children at youth villages throughout the country.As you may know, Geerz has been very active since the early days of the war in November when it ran mobile biking and safety workshops for displaced youth who were locked down at hotels and youth villages (including one in Maccabim that I helped to organize for the community from Tekuma). Since then, Geerz opened six new groups for displaced children in Kiryat Gat, Nir Etzion and Kfar Darom. In addition to these new programs, Geerz continues to run its regular therapeutic mountain biking programs serving over 400 kids each week. These 10-month programs are staffed by more than 40 Geerz employees and volunteers and are hugely beneficial to children’s wellbeing by boosting self-esteem and confidence and helping them cope with the trauma of the war. ...
