I’m excited to share that on March 15-17 I will be participating in the 10th annual Geerz charity ride, a challenging mountain biking ride in the biblical trails of the Galilee. Geerz operates an incredibly innovative and effective therapeutic mountain biking program for hundreds of kids in youth villages and special education programs throughout the country. Many of these kids suffer from war-related PTSD and other significant social disorders and anxieties. Geerz also now operates its award-winning programs for soldiers who suffer from PTSD from the recent war. Geerz programs provide participants with critical life skills learned through mountain biking, including team-building, problem solving, overcoming challenges and handling frustration. Last year my grandson Tal, whose father was killed in Gaza in December 2023, biked the last couple of kilometers with me, and he's planning to join me again this year. Our goal is to raise funds to enable three deserving and needy children to participate in Geerz programming. The cost is $1,800 per child, and my goal is thus $5,400.
