I have the blessing to be involved with Geerz, a very special organization with a revolutionary curriculum to empower kids and teach them critical life skills through the magic of mountain biking. Geerz serves hundreds of kids across Israel who suffer from a wide array of social and psychological issues. Geerz needs and deserves our support more than ever. In addition to its regular programming, Geerz has launched a number of new groups in response to special requests from communities/youth villages with kids suffering from significant PTSD as a result of the war. They are also running special programs for kids displaced from the South, and even built mobile bike parks for when biking on trails is impossible because of security concerns. Additionally, Geerz has implemented special training for its instructors on addressing the unique challenges Israeli kids are struggling with in these complex times.
The two-day charity ride has provided most of the funding for Geerz’s budget, but the ride is even more essential this year given all of the new programming Geerz has launched as a result of the war.
