I'm running in memory of my cousin Heidi Weisel who departed from us too soon and is dearly missed. I grew up in Har Nof on the edge of the majestic Jerusalem forest. Cycling through the trails with friends was a huge part of my childhood and the place where I felt most free and most myself.Like many childhood passions, it faded over the years. But two years ago, when the traffic in Jerusalem became unbearable, I got back on my bike just to get around the city faster. What started as convenience quickly turned back into something much deeper.Since then, mountain biking through the beautiful hills surrounding Jerusalem has become my escape, my sanity, and my reset button. I'm running in memory of my cousin Heidi Weisel who departed from us too soon and is dearly missed.

I grew up in Har Nof on the edge of the majestic Jerusalem forest. Cycling through the trails with friends was a huge part of my childhood and the place where I felt most free and most myself.

Like many childhood passions, it faded over the years. But two years ago, when the traffic in Jerusalem became unbearable, I got back on my bike just to get around the city faster. What started as convenience quickly turned back into something much deeper.

Since then, mountain biking through the beautiful hills surrounding Jerusalem has become my escape, my sanity, and my reset button. I’ve also fallen in love with the Geerz community, an incredible group of passionate, energetic, slightly crazy people who bring so much positivity and spirit to every ride.

What the Geerz program is doing for struggling youth and soldiers dealing with PTSD after October 7 is truly remarkable. They are giving people strength, confidence, community, and a healthy outlet during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

It is an honor for me to support this mission and help bring that empowerment to others.
