Refined Personal Fundraising Message (Landing‑Page Ready)
For more than 20 years, mountain biking has been a constant source of strength, focus, and joy in my life. As a rider — and as a technical skills coach since 2011 — I’ve seen how a challenging ride can change a person. It builds confidence. It sharpens the mind. It reconnects us with our bodies and with the outdoors. It reminds us that we’re capable of more than we think.
A few years ago, I found my way to Geerz. I joined the Get in Geerz ride as an instructor, and later became part of the youth program team. From the very beginning, I felt the impact this organization has on people’s lives.
Since October 7th, like all of us, I’ve watched the heavy toll that prolonged conflict takes on our soldiers and veterans. I’ve had the privilege of coaching several of them in technical riding sessions, and it became clear very quickly: the same elements that make mountain biking transformative — challenge, focus, camaraderie, nature — also make it deeply therapeutic.
At the same time, Geerz was already developing a dedicated therapeutic MTB program for veterans and reservists. Today, I’m honored to step into a new role as Director of the Geerz Soldiers Program.
Our mission is simple and powerful:
to help veterans and reservists rebuild strength, resilience, and connection through structured mountain biking sessions guided by trained instructors and mental‑health professionals. Each group rides together for 12 sessions, learning skills, processing experiences, and rediscovering what it feels like to move forward.
To make this possible, we need your support.
Each group requires an instructor, brand‑new bikes, and the resources to run a full 12‑session program out in nature. As part of this year’s Get in Geerz ride, my personal goal is to raise $20,000 — the cost of running just one full group.
With your help, we can reach more veterans and reservists who are carrying heavy burdens, and give them tools, community, and hope.
**If you believe in this mission, I’m asking you to partner with me.
Your donation today directly funds a soldier’s path to healing.**
Thank you for standing with us — and with them.
